How this calculator works

Percentage-point change = new percentage − old percentage

If a rate rises from 20% to 25%, the change is 5 percentage points but a 25% relative increase. PercentScope shows both values side by side.

Example: 20% to 25%

The rate rises by 5 percentage points. Relative to the starting 20%, that is a 25% increase.

Frequently asked questions

What's a percentage point?

It is the arithmetic difference between two percentages.

Are basis points supported?

Yes. One percentage point equals 100 basis points, so the result also shows basis-point change.
